Knit Shoppe Information
We have knitting lessons
for beginners and intermediate knitters, to help you improve your knitting skills
and abilities, and for the winter months there will be sock knitting classes.
Also, commencing in November, the shop will be open to knitters only on Wednesdays for
those who wish to come and knit during the hours of 10 to 4.
We will exchange ideas,
work on charity projects like preemy caps for the
hospitals, caps for folks who are undergoing chemotherapy treatment, lap throws
for nursing homes, etc., and perhaps discuss the lack of rain, who knows. The
yarn for the charity work will be discounted and I will be arranging for
the delivery of the finished items. There will be tea available but you
should bring a bag lunch.
Classes for sock
knitting will be starting in January, probably on Fridays.
There is always
something new in the shop. There is
an extensive library of knit/crochet books and good needles. We will teach you
how to find free patterns on line. Wednesdays are free advice/problem solving
days. You got a project with a big boo-boo - bring it in on Wednesdays and
everyone will help get you back on track...
